In addition to the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland it is also possible to visit other places further afield. Trains from London to the East Coast of Scotland stop at Berwick upon Tweed making day trips to other places possible.
There are many places that can be visited, but remember if you can to book your train tickers in advance.
