Short Walks in North Northumberland





The beautiful rugged countryside and unspoilt sandy beaches of North Northumberland are the perfect place to enjoy country, coast or riverside walks. Many hours can be enjoyed exploring historic castles,  quaint villages or strolling by peaceful rivers and beautiful beaches.

Below are the places that we have visited.You can view All Walks or any of the individual walks below. I have included some of our own photographs. I have also added some links to other websites.

Don't forget to wear a good pair of walking boots and take some water with you. All the timings are approximate and will depend on each individual. I hope you enjoy this selection of walks.

Bamburgh Lighthouse Walk 3 miles. 1hr 30 minutes - 1hr minutes

Carey Burn Waterfall 2 miles. 1hr 20 minutes

Ingram to Brough Law 4 miles. 2 hrs

Hethpool Linn.  2 miles.  1hr 30 minutes

Ladykirk and Norham Bridge to Norham Village 

Linhope Spout 3 miles. 1hr 30 minutes

River Tweed and Horncliffe Walk 2 miles

Wooler Common and Earle Circular 2.5 miles. 1hr 30 minutes
