Kielder Water and Forest Park is a large man-made lake and forest within the Northumberland National Park. Kielder Water is the largest man-made lake in Europe and the forest is the largest in England.
The park is a wonderful place to relax, explore and enjoy nature, either as a day trip, a weekend away or a holiday break. The Park offers something for everyone from, watersports, walking, cycling or enjoying nature and art.
The park has three visitor centres, bicycle hire and luxury forest lodges. There are numerous forest walks and cycle trails suitable for all the family. The Lakeside Way is a 26 mile trail around the lake shore, suitable for walkers and cyclists, which also enables visitors to view the numerous art displays around the shore, such as the Silvas Capitalis.
From the tranquil woodland trails of the north shore to the activity centres and water sports of the southern end Kielder caters for all ages and abilities. A fantastic place to visit.
