The Lothians

The Lothians are a region of the Scottish Lowlands lying between the southern shore of the Firth of Forth and the Lammermuir Hills. The area is divided into the three counties of MidLothian, East Lothian and West Lothian. The area is rich in history and is home to many castles and historic houses. The capital city of Edinburgh and its magnificent castle are located in the east of the county which also boasts some stunning beaches and coastline.
