Royal Border Bridge |
The Royal Border Bridge was built between 1847 and 1850. It is a railway viaduct spanning the River Tweed at Berwick-Upon-Tweed. The bridge which stands 121feet above the river is 2,162 feet long and consists of 28 arches. It was designed by Robert Stephenson and opened by Queen Victoria.
